The Elysia, along with the Messina and the Arcadia violin, is made in Stentor’s high grade violin workshop. Here the most skilled individual workers produce under the close supervision of a master violin maker. Carved from high grade spruce and highly figured maple, with ebony fingerboard and pegs. There are no shortcuts to making this violin, no power tools, just skilled workers using traditional hand tools. The Elysia is made in much the same way that violins have been made by hand in Europe for hundreds of years. The result is a fine violin with a superior finish and sound.

All our violins are inspected prior to dispatch by our in house violin technician and come set-up with bridge and sound post fitted. The bow is also checked and is pre-applied with rosin so you are ready to play as soon as you take it out of the box.
