Fantastic 1960 Hummingbird Reissue in a glowing Heritage Cherry Sunburst Finish!

In 1960, Gibson introduced its very first Square Shoulder model: the Hummingbird. This iconic model has been an indispensable part of the guitar world ever since; it is one of the most recognizable looks – and sounds! – of all time.

It is therefore not surprising that this 1960 reissue is a truly beautiful instrument. Just like the original, this Custom Shop has a sitka spruce top that has undergone a hand-aged “process”. This makes the top exceptionally mobile and “loose” for an incredibly dynamic and lively sound. This top is finished in a chic Heritage Cherry Sunburst with VOS finish for a lived-in, vintage look.

The back and sides of this 1960 Hummingbird Reissue are made of mahogany, just like the neck. This combination of woods and the Square Shoulder body shape makes this Gibson extremely suitable for a wide range of playing styles. This Hummingbird has more than enough power for heavy strumming, but is also beautiful with softer playing styles – partly thanks to the exceptionally loose top. The rich, old school midrange really jumps out of the sound hole. This Hummingbird really tells a story. Comes with a period-correct Gibson Hardcase.
