The Gibson name carries a lot of weight. They have built up an enormous allure and status over the years by producing some of the most popular guitar models in history, and the Gibson J-45 naturally belongs in that list. With this Gibson 50’s J-45 Original Vintage Sunburst you can bring a piece of Gibson history into your home! The difference between this version and the Standard version is that the ’50s Original reissue is closer to the model from the ’50s. You can notice this in a number of (cosmetic) things such as the multi-ply binding around the top, larger ’50s pickguard instead of the teardrop pickguard, subtle cream tuners and a slightly larger neck profile. The whole thing has been aged in a very subtle way, which makes this J-45 feel like it has been around for a few years, and when you pick up the guitar and play it you just feel that it is right; ultimately the sound and looks of this J-45 play the leading role. The combination of the sitka spruce top with the selected mahogany side/back give this J-45 Standard its unmistakable character: big and warm, the ideal accompaniment guitar. You can really tell a story with this guitar, because the J-45 becomes shy when you play soft and screams when you play hard. Beautiful. And also in terms of looks the J-45 Standard is completely right. The sitka spruce top is finished in a Vintage Sunburst Finish. Finally, this beautiful acoustic guitar is equipped with the LR Baggs VTC system. This is a top of the bill pickup system that does justice to every nuance of every string. Amazing. Including Gibson hardshell case.

With the new Original Series, the traditional American manufacturer Gibson revives the popular J-45 models from days gone by and lovingly redesigns them with the old design of the 1950s. An all solid construction produces warm and powerful sounds which, thanks to a Sitka spruce top, stand out very clearly and can be produced with little effort. A Scalloped-X-Bracing and mahogany body complete the sound image with warm bass and expressive mid-range frequencies that gently enhance the tone and give the instrument the substance for which Gibson guitars are renowned for.
The round mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard also embodies the manufacturer’s decades of know-how with its comfortable playability and allows easy access to all 20 frets. Precise nickel tuners, which decorate the characteristic headstock in addition to the company logo, guarantee smooth tuning and show that the manufacturer puts a lot of love into detail. The entire appearance is rounded off with a ’50s Tortoise pickguard and an L.R. Baggs pickup system, which amplifies the acoustic sound of the guitar and reproduces it naturally and unaltered.
