Willcutt Guitars and the Fender Custom Shop are very excited to offer the fourth edition of our “Vault” recreations. Continuing in the tradition of the True 62, “Gloria” Tele, The 63, and the 4/54 Tele — we now present the 57 “Refin” Strat! Our original 1957 Strat started out with “Mary Kaye” appointments which included a trans finished Ash body and gold hardware. If you’ve been in the museum display area of our store, you have seen this guitar. In the early 60s, the guitar was factory refinished at the Fullerton factory in Candy Apple Red, thus creating a unique collection of features – ash body, custom color, maple neck, and gold hardware. We feel that this is an exceptional, unique instrument that was worthy of reproduction.

Features include the lightest Ash bodies available at Fender Custom, as well as Hand Wound pickups which are designed and wound to match the tone and vibe of the original 57 pickups. Also features gold hardware, just like the original.
