Superieur Despiau A10 Viola Bridge is referred to the “Seine” or “Reference” model. The model is carved to allow for a quicker fitting to your instrument. The heart, ears as well as arch have been carved opened.

• Blank, therefor requires adjustment
• Reference model (V10) – Openings and arches are somewhat carved
• Treated for hardness

Bridge Grades

The most prestigious (A grade) bridges from Despiau Chevalets carry the three-tree stamp of authenticity. B grade bridges carry two-tree stamps and C grade – one-tree.

A-grade (three tree): Regular and fine grain, strong medullary rays on the whole surface
B-grade (two tree): Regular and fine grain, medullary rays
C-grade (one tree): Fairly fine and regular grain wood, with less pronounced medullary rays
