This is an attractive rhapsody of songs which were popular with sailors during the grand era of 'wooden ships and iron men.' Short solos are included for numerous instruments along with extensive percussion scoring that adds to the atmosphere of this new work for middle level bands, and is especially appropriate for festival performances.
